Training Grants for New Jersey Unemployed

Application

Your first point of contact to apply for the Training Grants offered by the NJ Department of Labor is your unemployment counselor or your One Stop Career Center.  Request an appointment to meet with a counselor today. Meeting with your counselor begins the application process to determine your eligibility to receive a training grant.

Selection

Select the program you are interested in attending. Review program descriptions at "Our Programs for Individuals Tab." Determine the program you wish to attend.

Complete listing of all CMD programs approved by DOL

Register Online

Go to “Register Now and Pay Later” on the program web page and complete your registration. Check the box under Additional Information for Grant Funding. Upon receipt of registration CMD will provide you (via email) an acceptance letter.

Meet with your Training Counselor

When visiting with your counselor you will need the acceptance letter that we provide along with a copy of the appropriate program brochure found on our program page.
