Rutgers Center for Management Development (CMD) was honored in December for its commitment to workplace learning, when the Mid New Jersey chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) presented it with a “Making a Difference” award. The tribute recognized the Center’s commitment to workplace development, as well as support of operations and programming for the chapter.
The Rutgers University Center for Management Development was commissioned by Saint Peter’s University Hospital in New Brunswick to create a Mini MBA™ in Strategic Healthcare Management for medical residents in the hospital’s internal medicine, pediatrics and obstetrics and gynecology residency programs. After meeting with Saint Peter’s physician leaders and administrators, Rutgers CMD designed a course that integrates strategic management of a healthcare facility with business concepts that address the pressing issues faced by medical and administrative healthcare practitioners today.
